Cool Word of The Month: April, 2004

OK, so I'm going to lose some points for originality... so trask me.

ber-engro (Romany, noun) - lit. "ship's master", a mariner

I was going to select solas (Irish Gaelic, noun, "light") as the cool word for this month, but wouldn't you know it, Roget's Rules applied.
(i.e., see last month's cool word. Ought we to have more clones? Heaven only knows. :-P)

Previous months' cool words:
March, 2004: calad (Sindarin, noun, "light")
February, 2004: su (Chinese, adjective/noun) - 1. flaky; 2. a baked good with a crisp or flaky consistency, such as a cookie
January, 2004: pizdarija (Croatian, noun; vulgar) - something messed-up, feeble, or ridiculous (definition provided by jereeza)
December, 2003: basherte (Hebrew, noun) - "apportioned one" (implication of predestined/ordained mate; courtesy of yahvah)
November, 2003: panmictic (English, adjective, "exhibiting random mating within a breeding population")
October, 2003: kreteno (Esperanto, slang noun, "idiot")
September, 2003: kawai (Japanese, adjective, "cute")
August, 2003: ser (Spanish, intransitive verb, "to be")
July, 2003: cordillera (Spanish, noun, "principal mountain system of a continent")
June, 2003: kallüsarayam (Tamil, noun, "illicit liquor")
May, 2003: hoh (Singlish, particle, "connective expression of expected agreement")
April, 2003: tmesis (English, noun, "separation of the parts of a compound word for humorous effect")
March, 2003: nerazreshimost (Russian, noun, "undecidability")

Re: Weejun
funny squiggles? but we only have three!
wlokay, three and some accent marks. but those are really no better than the shit of a fly, as Pippi Longstocking said.

låk - sad, bad, painful, ill, disgusting - basically, it's the weejun word for trask
blòt - soak ; joke ; animal sacrifice
tvære - streeeetch (something, like a story or a goodbye). tværing is often a source for impatience in others.

and if you dknot like these, there are menny more!

Služiti and štititi
I can ask if the police here has a motto and if so, what it is. :)
I can see it now: "Rijeka art professor jailed for asking for motto". >:-P

And hey - add ahead, guys! Gathering a crowd of subscribers is part of the evil plot between us Bana-sired vampire children with the ultimate goal of out-livejournalling you in eeeeeeverything! ;)
Bwahahahahahahaha!
Ahem.

[I hope though TK isn't adding moi just to indulge you, acos I'm not sure what I post interests her at all, but again - 'tis all public and open to all!]
Not this time!
She really wants to ask you some queastions aboat Cro.
Queastions that I dknot have time to relay, that you may or may not have time to amser, and that she will prolly barely have time to read the answers TO, but nermine! :-D
