Cool Word of The Month: June, 2004

anapauesthai (Koine Greek) - to stand still

(I'm not sure what the proper infinitive is - help, please?
This is from the Heraclitus's aphorism "metaballon anapauetai", "it rests by changing", which is roughly analogous to "plus ca change, plus c'est le meme chose" and "the more things change, the more they stay the the same".)

Funny about that first, Russian word. If you hadn't given its meaning, I'd have translated it to myself as "impossibility of solving".
Yeah, that's actually closer.
"Undecidable" is an Engrish word for the mathematical concept.

Hugs,
M. --- with a brand gnu summer colour scheme!

Very nice; I like!
