Happy birthdays and magenta feelings

First and foremost:
Happy birthday, carida_46!
Menny happy returns, Grandma!

Second, who rocks? hempknight rocks!
All hail Zolthar! Or Madame Mysterio or whatever he is calling himself these days.

Look at these Bryce3D renderings of my CRG planets:

My favorite landscape - near Linna and Sarah Palomar's summer homes on Yenath:

And look at these CG sketches of characters from my NaNoWriMo story, tanelos!
(Warning: Some spoilers. Look only if you want to.)

Finally, some quizzes:

Snurched from masteralida:

You Are the Stuffing

You're complicated and complex, yet all your pieces fit together.
People miss you if you're gone - but they're not sure why.

Also yoinked from masteralida:

You Are Sex On the Beach!

When comes to drinking, you like it to go down smooth.
You really don't like the taste of alcohol - just its effect on you.
So, you're proud to get drunk on fruity, girly drinks.
Because once you're liquored up, the fun begins!

Uhhm, hrm. If you say so!

Actually, it's better today than yesterday acos it's raining and snoozy and i don't have to cook tea [dinner]. Yayy!!!

...and Yahoo!! has a nice liddle cake with candles for me and a happy birthday message too.

CRG and Tane-Los

Thanks.

I should explain, though, that Cantina Roleplayers' Guild (CRG) and tanelos are two completely distinct and independent universes.

The first is a George Lucas AU (where the bifurcation point is technically some time after The Empire Strikes Back, but really runs back for millenia as there are many original, extracanonical worlds).

The second is my baby, and any similarities in names between my CRG locales and characters and those in Tane-Los are purely superficial.

Still, it's always nice to be able to look at something and say, "Yeah, that's about how the places in my story look!" Magazines and the internet are always great for this.

True
The character sketches, too.
What do you think of them?

*thumbs up*
Something about CGI faces creeps me out. Maybe it's because they look lifelike but not alive. Otherwise, I think they're some awesome work on the part of hempknight.

I did some pen-and-pencil sketches of some of my own characters a little while ago, when I was kicking around new ideas for the Cret series. They don't really look like the characters do in my mind, since I can't draw to save my life, but for whatever strange reason they kind of help to bring the characters into sharper perspective.

Understandable.
I do still like CG terrain, planets, ships, vehicles and buildings better for that reason.

Indeed. Personally, I think he did a particularly good job with Feslik. That's the first one and still my favorite one.

Yep. It's why I've taken up learning to draw again.
I'm looking at Wacom tablets these days.
