Squee, my angel of music!

So...

By a show of hands: who's getting tickets for the opening of Le Fantôme "in selected cities" on the 22nd?

Edit, 21:00 CDT Thu 16 Dec 2004: Not you jereeza; I know you've already seen it! Trasking Brit residentses... ;-P

Not I - trask this release schedule; I will be in Kansas City from the 22nd through the 25th of December, but won't have time to see it. As it happens, I probably will not see it until at least a week after Christmas. When's it opening in the Little Apple?

Off to grade finals,
Banazir

Re: "If these demands are not met..."
When you consider that she has worn her pin (we gave a donation for AIDS research - received a red ribbon with Phantom's mask on a pin) and has listened to the original cast recording EVERY SINGLE DAY for the past 2 weeks....

Yeah, I think I'm not going to chance that disaster ;)

Undeprived sproglets
Pssst --- lille SIKRIT: I've actually never seen TPoTO in a theatre.
Am thus doubly looking forward to the big screen version, even as I whip myelf up into a frenzy using the 1988 London cast recording.

I assume darkdragoness93 has?

Re: Undeprived sproglets
Oh yes... we took her to her first Broadway production a few weeks ago. Finally corrected our lack there, but moving further from NYC works against us now.

She'd like to go a few times a year and I think we're going to do what we can to do that :)

it's not going to be in abq [and the rest of the non-special cities] until mid-jan... but my hometown, where i will be in in about 40 hours, IS a select city (despite being half the size of the duke city), and my sister and mom and i are going to go to a matinee showing :D

:: raises both hands, bounces up and down ::

As for release...the "Select Cities" list is actually fairly long, and can be found on the official site. Be aware that they have some odd geographical notions -- Tacoma, WA is listed in the "Midwestern" division! -- so make sure you scan the whole list for a city near you.

The wider release isn't until 1/21/05, alas.

I'm happy for y'all, honest!
I'm just tiny bit miffed that I live in a non-city. :-/

I need to acquire access to cheap and/or easy-to-fuel teleportation technology, is what. (Hrm, we have Clark's cave near here. How much kryptonite and/or naquadah do you think are in it?)

Understandable, although it certain has its advantages too.

Ah, the eternal fannish lament...

I believe that last is not entirely unreasonable, going by MapQuest...

Oh, definitely. I actually have a prior commitment in KC from 22nd through 25th, though a Christmas-day stopover on the way back isn't out of the question.

Otherwise, 21 Janvier it is...

Re: Topeka
Methinks I was unclear. That's the list where it opens 12/22, and presumably will be staying open. The point being that if you can get to Topeka, and have time, you don't have to wait until 1/21. :-)

Re: Topeka
Ah, yes. Yes, an hour's jaunt east is also not out of the question.
I'm horrendously bad about going to Topeka - I do it only 2-4 times a year, not counting passing through. Most often it's to take people to birthday dinners at Red Lobster and the like.

(Yep, you heard me, we haven't got one here. Nor a Best Buy, nor a Barnes and Noble, to my everlasting lamentation. Hrm, now there's some more incentives... :-D)

Movie
I've actually (*gasp*) never seen the stage version, believe it or not.

Bought the London recording and have several other compilations, but the movie will be the first time I've sat through the whole thing!
