Many thanks to hempknight, for introducing me to DVDshrink, a DeCSS-based DVD ripper, and VideoHelp.com!

I still need a good DVD-to-AVI or DVD-to-DivX conversion utility, with proper codecs. Oh, and a clue. Anyone have any suggestions?

You already have it. Look deep inside your hard drive. It was the first thing I gave you.

Search your feelings, you know it to be true
Yarr. It quits and errors out on my COMPAQ Presario under WinXP home. I think I told you it crashes the system - that's only happened once.

I haven't looked at VideoHelp.com yet, but do you have any specific package names for me to look into?

I've been using EasyDivX. It's pure fun if you can find it. Does everything.
