Why does the wordmeter say you're only halfway thru?

It doesn't - 100511 words
It's showing that I finished 50200 last year, for Nanowrimo 2004, and an additional 50311 this year, for Nanowrimo 2005.

Next year I'm starting an entirely new series set in the same world, so it will be a fresh counter.

Re: It doesn't - 100511 words
Ah... Okay. I was wondering about that too.

It wasn't obvious that the gray area indicated stuff done in a previous year.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Congrats!
I made it as well -- reached the magic number on Tuesday night and then ate ice cream to celebrate before collapsing.

Never collapse after victory!
Lookee here! 5 hours past midnight, 6.5 since finishing, and I'm still going strong!

Never give up! Never give in!
Never surrender!

Just call me Ozzy
"My name is Ozymandias, TEUNC of TEUNCs: Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!"

Now, go look at Chapter 12 Part 2 for your jereeza ref.
(Hint: grep for "Uzas".)

Beasts of flame and sorrow!
Please, think of the lemurs!!

While you and Okeata are planning your second descent into the Tenth Circle of the Terionach Hells, maybe you could tell me again what "Uzas" means?

Fear!
I don't know how I do it, either - oh, wait: it's the fear.

Yeah, I guess we are! I only went for pre-school, though. I think they changed the name to Highland Christain (or something like that) last year. & No, I don't mind if you add me.

Highlands Christian Academy
Ah, that explains why I couldn't find its web site any more.

Do you know whether they ever created a new one? I haven't found one in Google yet.

You're added! Welcome!
Please feel free to add me back, if you like.

Re: Highlands Christian Academy
I actually wondered the samething about a month or 2 ago so I went back & No, it's still a lot like it was when I went there. One of the years I went there they put in a trailor for an extra class (which was mine for that year) and it's still there. That empty lot that I used to find caterpilers in is still there. The lunchroom is pretty much the same but it looks a lot smaller & the gym is the same. The inside of the church is pretty much the same. There were a few lockers that were put in front of the office that I'm guessing were kinda new because the dates written on there were kinda new (like Rob and Sue 2/ 16/ 03 or something like that) but they didn't look new because of all of the writing. There were a few minor changes but it was pretty much the same. It would probably look a lot different to you because I started going there 10 years after you stopped. Anyways, I wrote way too much.. I'm just bored I guess. lol

I just noticed--how had I missed it?--that you're a CTY alum. I was at Dickinson, 1983-1986. Which campus did you go to?

Homewood
Hail, fellow CTYer!

Pure Homewood (JHU Summer 1986, Fall 1986, Summer 1987)! You and I predate the passionfruit, it seems.

"And by the way, dear reader... I went to Hopkins as an undergrad."

Re: Homewood
Passionfruit? I must really be antediluvian, not to know what that's about.
