Pingdu, 1929: Shiny Happy People

Pursuant to these stories about my great-great-grandparents, here is a picture from Pingdu in 1929 to inaugurate my LiveJournal Scrapbook:

My father's mother is pictured among the seated, third from the left. She's nearly 16 in that photo, though she doesn't look it.

i love historical photos. especially of family. that is an impressive family gorup, though -- i can't remember if my family has anything like it. it's mostly wedding photos and something with a few young kids in.

Well, I suppose they were rather fierce-looking.

You remember how I supposedly have Turkish and/or Mongol ancestry on Banagran's side? See the venerable gentleman with the mustache? Her grandfather. I'll have to ask Banadad for details.
