Music recommendations sought

I'm about to go on a CD-buying and music-downloading binge.

Any recommendations?

(Oh, and while I'm at it, may I offer a recommendation of my own:
Rosanne Cash: 10 Song Demo)

Thanks
That's the second time I've seen "Franz Ferdinand", and both in the last 15 minutes!
Will look them up.

Let me know what you think of the post-1989 Rosanne Cash stuff (Interiors, The Wheel, 10 Song Demo, Rules of Travel)!

Well... if you are courageous enough to brave narvi's trasking, I will reveal that I have various songs from his eponymous album, which I used to listen to online on his site.

I have been known to sometimes sing various snippets of his struff (except for the song narvi says he trasked, which I am tentatively boycotting).

My recommendation is this:

Only buy what your can't download.
Especially if it ships overseas.

As for recommendations of _artists_, I don't know enough about your musical tastes to feel comfortable recommending you an analogous Japanese artist, so I'll just keep my mouth shut.

Recommendation noted; thanks. :-)

Well, please feel free to give it a go!
I'll listen to anything once.
I listened to jereeza's lovely praise poem without knowing what it was, and was much flattered, and that was after I listened to her UZAS and was much shattered!

ooh oooh!! Earthsuit's first album "Kaleidoscope Superior". Duh. And Taylor Mesplé's "Victory Land". And I hear that Earthsuit's second-and-last is rather good too, but if you can get your hands on that, I'd shriek like a banshee and beg you to give it to me. Ooh, get Joe Satriani's 'Strange Beautiful Music'. It's lovely. And since it's playing right now, I'll recommend Josh Dodes' "Freak" as well.

Currently, I'm waitin for Macrosick's demo-EP thingy to arrive in the mail.

But of course, your best buy of the year would be "Silly Songs With Larry". Definitely. Or Soul-Junk's "1956". Or Bauchklang's "Jamzero". Lala!

This is weird. I can't remember what that last CD I bought was. I have a suspicion that it was Hanson's "Underneath", but that can't be right.

/me is worried.

Woah.
Josh Dodes is the noly poison you've named whose music I've heard
(though I think I've heard you wibble about Taylor Mesplé afore).
