Taken on 18 Jun 2004 in front of a 7-foot tall redbud tree in my front yard.
Coda: Within a couple of weeks, the nest was completely blown out of the tree (which was far too small for it). Two of the four eggs were smashed and the others disappeared soon after. I never did see the bird return, even before the nest fell. There is a much taller maple in the yard with a blackbird incubating its eggs in a nest set in the crown. This one seems to be doing well, but I can't get at it easily to take a photo.
