Cool Word of The Month: August, 2004

si2 pu3 (Chinese, noun) - recipe (literally, "meal score")

I just think that the music/food analogy is rather poetic.

In other news:

  • All my NationStates are dead. I missed the 28-day update deadline by 48 minutes, around 02:30. Sorry, yodge - I've restarted only Wibbletrask for now, but if you want me to restart Yojopia, I will.

  • I've pitched an idea to nobuddy69, dashamus, and hempknight for an MMORPG. Details and an opinion meme are to follow. (No, it's not really badger-based.)

Dunno if it's just my computer, or LJ's inability to show Mandarin script, but on my screen I see the chemical formula for a compound containing two Si and three Pu.. I don't think you'd want to eat that ;)

Re: Heh
Ah ;). I kind of figured it was some kind of clever phonetic code, since most people don't have Big5 or other Mandarin fonts installed.. but I still think disilicon triplutonide sounds pretty good, too...
