OK, I'm hooked.
I watched #5, Ballad of Fallen Angels, last week around 03:00, and was immediately IMing
miajesbar to declaim what a great series this is.
masaga, zengeneral, you really have to spread the word to the uninitiated masses! (Or am I the only remnant of said mass? Nobody ever tells me anything!)
Seriously, guys, I have not yet had time to watch GoldenBoy.

Two answers to that: (A) we must bear in mind that it's coming out of another culture, which means us English speakers will feel awkward with it anyway, and (B)it seems like they always go for literal translations with the titles. I had opportunity to recently giggle at the original Japanese name for the Transformers cartoon: "Tatakae! Chô robot seimeitai Transformer" which can be translated to "Super God Robot Force." Teehee!
You can tell a lot about an anime series by the LJ icons that people use to respond to a thread about it. :-)
