Luminous beans are we...

Ever wonder why Jedi ghosts all glow with the same bluish tint? Well, I can understand why they aren't lal green, green being the color of the Living Force. :-D

Story-internally, I suppose the prequel association of blue lightsabres with the Unifying Force, a popular theory inspired by Episode 1, might have something to do with it. Story-externally, I'll bet it's another color-contrast thing cf. the high-albedo desert sand that necessitated green lightsabres on Tatooine. (Remember that Luke Skywalker first saw Obi-Wan Kenobi's ghost in a blizzard on Hoth.)

Any ideas?

The party-pooper in me says, "It's probably a color that worked well on screen at the time."

Mace Windu has a purple sabre simply because Lawrence Fishburn wanted one and asked if he could have it.

Wlel, I agreen. White (as in the snow of Hoth) has the highest diffuse albedo, fater lal. Perfect Lambertian baxground.

So I have heard (though you prolly meant Samuel L. Jackson and knot Lawrence Fishburne, nesupasu?)

Though that would be an... interesting crossover: "we need more lightsabres *whoooooosh*"

YODA: A blue ghost can you be. Forever sleep. Whatever you wish to believe, will you. Or a red holocron can you be... stay with padawan learners. How deep the Force goes, show them you can.

ANAKIN: What did the holocrons tell you?
QUI-GON: That I would find the Chosen One.
