Memage and quizzage: fannish5 and more

Finally, just because I know you all don't think I post enough quiz results in my LJ, here is an ungodly lot of long-awaited quizzage (YR), accumulated over the past month.

From fannish5, a Duo meme that I saw in weetanya's LJ:

1. What duo (crime-fighting or other) is the best at team fighting?
Tick and Moth from The Tick, of curse. You think I'm gonna piss orf MOM?
Batman and Robin come in a distant second.

2. What duo understands each other the best?
My vote goes to Tarma and Kethry from Lackey's Vows and Honor, Elric and Moonglum from Moorcock's Elric Saga. Frodo and Sam from The Lord of The Rings almost make the cut.

3. What duo has the best banter?
K.I.T.T. and Michael Knight from Knight Rider.
Here I've also got to give props to Harm and Mac from JAG - they might be a knock-off of David and Maddie from Moonlighting, but they aren't bad at that.
Mal and Inara from Firefly had a tad bit of promise, but it was too early to tell.

Angel and SG-1 are good on banter, but not so much duo banter.
Smallville's banter could have been generated by a MegaHAL.

4. What duo has the healthiest relationship?
That's a difficult one.

There are couples with healthy relationships, and I suppose you could call Beren and Luthien Tinuviel The Silmarillion) a duo as well, but otherwise I'd have to say Finrod Felagund and Beren. Frodo and Sam, Merry and Pippin, Galadriel and Celeborn, Turin and Beleg... there's always something a little off.

Before Mulder and Scully (The X-Files) had a child together, I think they had a pretty good relationship. :-P

5. What duo has the most dysfunctional relationship?
Felice-Morigel and Culluket the Interrogator in Julian May's Saga of Pliocene Exile, if you want to get really obscure.
For mainstream SF, try Sam Beckett and Albert "Al" Calavicci from Quantum Leap. "OMG WTF, what have you done to me this leap?!"
I'd say Buffy and Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but yernow, I don't think she was half as humiliated as she protested to be at first. ;-)
