Computer profile: Hirilonde

Name: Hirilonde
At a glance: Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook computer, 1.6GHz Pentium M / 2Gb RAM / 100Gb HD / WUXGA / CD-RW/DVD+RW / 100mbps Ethernet / 54g WiFi / Bluetooth / Firewire
Etymology: Named after a ship of J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth, as are most of my notebook computers (alluding to their mobility). Hence I have had notebooks named Vingilot, Numerramar, Earrame, and Turuphanto. Hirilonde means "Haven-finder" and is the official name of the ship whose colloquial name was Turuphanto (the Wooden Whale). This ship was the third and greatest ship of Anardil, later crowned Tar-Aldarion of Numenor.
