Statistical Machine Translation

This invitation is to anyone interested: we have a discussion group on machine translation (MT), particularly statistical MT, in comptranslation. Anyone is welcome to join.

Apropos of which:

1. Does anyone reading this such an interest? I last announced the group around mid-August of 2005.

2. What is your focal area?
3. Does your research have anything to do with phrase-based statistical machine translation?

4. Do you belong to a Linguistic Data Consortium (LDC) member institution?
5. Are there other data resource that you use, especially parallel corpora or sources?

6. Do you follow the annual NIST evaluations?
7. Have you any advice for team K-State, both this year and next?
