Joule withdrawal

Marnanel Joule has been down for a couple of weeks, and let me tell you, I'm really starting to feel it.

Joule is a nifty little friends-tracking tool that shows you who added you to their "friends list" (really a watch list for many, yours truly included) or removed you from it since the last time it was run. I use it each time my friends count has evidently changed, and it tells me whom to welcome or, less often, bid farewell.

The creator of the tool says that the ISP is down, so it's offline for the time being. Any idea if the author is amenable to having it hosted somewhere?

Joule alternatives
Joule's actually back up now, but thanks!
I'll look into all of these.

BTW, did you ever find your album covers video?

Actually, he recently posted to lj_nifty to say that the tool has become available as an RSS feed that updates as your friends' list changes.

RSS feed of Joule
So I saw - was that the cause of the downtime?
In any case, it's all good now.

Re: RSS feed of Joule
No, the downtime was due to a hardware problem. The RSS thing was just something I'd been planning for ages.

Semagic also has built-in friends-tracking. It's all I've used for years.

Built-in friends tracking in SeMagic
Good to know - I've never really used SeMagic enough to explore its features, but thanks!

Long time no hear; how are you these days?

Hmmm... my last comment from you was in January? Is that right? Am I still on your viewing filters? Because I still post a ton and big things have been happening. I'm doing fine now; wonderful; but it's been a rough year. I usually almost comment on a lot of your posts; I almost commented this morning; but I guess almost doesn't really cut it. How are you?

Getting reacquainted
Yes, you're still on my friends filters, though Friends of Bill is getting very high volume. I'm not sure why I've been absent, but I aim to rectify the situation. It may also be the times of day that you post, but in any case: hello again and well met!

I've been all right - busy as hell, but doing fine.

Joule has been back up for almost a week! What are you getting when you try to access it?

It works now
The above was a back-dated entry.

Thanks very much for the wonderful tool, BTW! I've used it for almost 3 years now.
