Lo, I have become Homework

Wot wot? LOL!

Mr. Darcy
You are Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice.
You're pretty arrogant, but that pride stems
from the deep-seated knowledge that you are
generally the most superior creature in any
given room. The good news is that you are
deeply loyal to your family, and you have a
generous and charitable streak, even though
most people don't notice because you are too
busy practicing a large vocabulary of stern
looks.

Snarfed from celandineb:
I didn't get the first one on porpoise, but this one kinda steered itself.

P&P
The Pride and Prejudice type: Truly an Austenite,
this type is a Romantic at heart, but they
always keep their head and are wary of
melodrama. Lively, clever, and independent.
These people are easily amused by their own
foibles and the quirkly foibles of others. They
lament society today, and dream of the time
when guys were gentlemen and girls were ladies.

Aaagh! There's no escape!

pandp
I believe you belong in Pride and Prejudice; a
world of satire and true love. A world where
everything is crystal clear to the reader, and
yet where new things seem to be happening all
the time. You belong in a world where your
free-thought puts you above the silly masses,
and where bright eyes and intelligence are
enough to attract the arrogant
millionaire/prejudiced young woman of your
choice.

The War Between The States: Trivia question - What is the one and only war in U.S. history between a single state and another nation?

Lo, I have become Homework, Stealer of Pie: I just noticed that Tom Dietterich (a fellow UIUC alum, though he is far senior to me and the new Bayesian network mafia out of UIUC-DCS) has given a BNJ-based homework assignment.

Re: state warz
Err... no, sorry. Mexican State of Tejas rebelled against the Mexican government and won its independence in the Texas War of Independence. The Mexican War didn't happen until some time after Texas had been a state for a while and was between the US and Mexico although a border dispute concerning the Texas/Mexico border was a big reason for it.

Re: state warz
True - I got them confuzzled. In neither war, however, was a U.S. state at war with another nation.

So:
TX war of independence doesn't count
Mexican war was against the USA
