Compasses

From hfx_ben:

Where are you on the political grid?
( Explanation )
I am slightly libertarian, very slightly economic left:
Economic Left/Right: -1.50
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.54

From deire - all the rage, as phawkwood wrote:

What type of Magic do you work?. Take the Magical Style Quiz by Paradox

I actually got this one first and "Psychic" second after careful reflection:

Your magical style is Magus.

What type of Magic do you work?. Take the Magical Style Quiz by Paradox

I'm there with the Dalai Lama
Said the test:

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -4.50
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.31

I can't say I'm disappointed :) but I answered truthfully (I never cheat even on the silliest online test, because it's impossible to get surprised that way!) and while I could predict the quadrant, I didn't expect to be that far in. I suspect the compass' author stands against religious schools as well, among other things.

I would talk about all this more, but I just got back so I'm still a bit whooooosh. Macedonia is _gorgeous_, the land rich, the people wonderful... so spending just a few days there and listening (and witnessing!) what the int'l forces led by the US are doing there makes you despise, no, hate those countries' governments.

See, people will usually talk about (or against) "Americans". I refrain from doing so because many of my best friends, yourself included, are American. Your authorities, however, when it comes to foreign matters... the Dark Ages saw no such arrogant, if not outright _evil_, might.

How does this happen? How does one stop it? Why is it that everywhere the people are great, yet the worst scum floats "up" to the "top"?

Damn. Scuse the rant. I'll go to better thngs and send you photos as soon as I have them. Until then, hugs,

:-)
I'm finding that I'm much less "liberal" (or more centrist) than most TEUNCs, which is amazzling in and of itself, even though I prolly shouldn't be suprised.

It's always interesting to me to hear other perspectives. I have opinions more to write on this topic that I will post here later. For now, I would just like to remind you (not that I need to) that our present leaders do not necessarily represent either the interests, will, nor sensibility of most Americans. That's true even when the polls might seem to indicate otherwise by a slight preponderance. We are too often sheep when it comes to taking a definitive stand on our foreign policy beliefs, especially when domestic interests are being waved around to obfuscate the issues. You know how that is.

Well, scum rises, but so does other goond struff.
Aure entuluva. :-)
